 Sculptor James Hamilton Smith, born in Minnesota, was influenced early on by the complex relationship of the natural world and our human contribution for and against its preservation. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Humboldt State University in 1998. In 1999, James was the featured guest artist of an international Sculpture Symposium held in Riga, Latvia. He currently resides in the small seaside town of Arcata, California where he continues to pursue his passion for art. His works combine a vast array of materials including concrete, fabricated and cast metals, as well as bamboo and recycled wood. Private collectors as well as commercial investors continue to patronize the custom creations of this distinguished artist. |
